Groomers

All shears and clipper sharpening are by appointment only

Shears, Thinners, and Chunkers: $15

This price reflects the immense amount of training, investment, and knowledge required to properly service and sharpen your shears, and also, to fix any subpar work or damage left behind by other sharpeners. Included in this service are replacement  bumpers, rings, rests, washers, and pivots.

• Serrated Shears: +$5 (Serrated and Micro-Serrated; typically done once every 3-4 sharpenings)

•Clipper Blades: $9 per blade

Each blade undergoes a thorough process:

• Ultrasonic cleaning

• Sharpening and deburring

• Lubrication

• Socket adjustments

• Tensioned to spec

• Fully tested

•5-in-1 Blades: $12 per blade

•Blade Drive Replacements

• Full replacement: $20

• Drive only: $10

•Clipper Repairs

I also repair most clippers. Typically, repairs are the cost of parts plus a $15 to $20 service fee for labor, depending on the complexity of the repair.

Shears are an art all their own. It takes time, expertise, and significant experience to deliver the type of sharpening high-end shears require. I have been actively studying and working with some of the best sharpeners in the U.S. to learn how to properly service shears. Recently, I completed training and study  under one of the greatest master sharpeners to date, Jean Paul Babin.

Simply put, I am doing my due diligence to ensure that your  shears are serviced with the utmost care and attention. I stay current with the most up-to-date techniques and equipment to ensure I am staying ahead of the curve with an actively evolving  shear industry.

Although there are some great sharpeners out there, many veteran groomers and a those new to the industry all have their nightmare stories of having their shears butchered by someone stopping by, offering to sharpen their shears.  I'm often  called in to repair and re-sharpen tools that have been poorly serviced by others. My services are designed to correct these issues, ensuring that your shears and clippers perform at their best.
